What this site is all about

Nwjeepn.com was started in 1999  to provide northwest wheelers a place where they could find the best information possible on our 4x4 trails. We are not a club but a core group of friends who share a love of the outdoors and exploring places most others don't get to see.

After the purchase of our Jeep in 1998 we were frequently approached by other Jeep owners that would comment "nice Jeep, do you take it off road?"  to which our response was always "as much as we can".  More often then not their reply was "we would love to take our Jeep off-road, but we don't know where to go ".

We had spent lots of time on the internet trying to find information about our northwest trails but always came up disappointingly short of anything good.

We came to find out that Jeep sites on the net usually fall into 2 main categories.

  1. The "Here is my Jeep,  look how beautiful it is , look at all the expensive chrome gee gaws I have put on it" site.        OR
  2. The "Our club/we did this amazing trail ride to the  (insert trail name here)  trail and we took all these pictures of us having fun but we aren't going to tell you where it is" site.

I think you will agree that once you have seen a few of  these kinds of sites you have pretty much seen them all.  We decided then and there to become something different, a place to find those trails.  We knew that there had to be others like us out there who would value a site that was all about the TRAILS, and not so much about the rigs.

NWJeepn.com was born.

Since then we have worked hard to bring you the most comprehensive list of northwest trails on the internet and to provide maps and GPS data to help you find those trails.  We continue to add trails to our inventory year after year and provide you with the best information we have about the condition of these trails.

We hope that this site becomes your first stop when planning your next 4x4 adventure.  Remember:

The trail starts here!
